Join our webinar on October 23rd with Own MG!

Every month, Autoimmune Registry hosts a webinar with our PAG members to provide them with a platform to present new research, innovations, and knowledge on autoimmune diseases. On October 23rd from 12-1 pm Eastern, our new Network member, Own MG, will have a presentation on understanding Myasthenia Gravis.

Own MG is a nonprofit organization that strives to enhance the lives of those affected by Myasthenia Gravis. Our first speaker is the Chairman of the Board, Shawn Ramagos. Shawn Ramagos has operated several nonprofits in the past and has a strong background in nonprofit operations. As a patient of MG himself, he is thrilled to be involved in Own MG, especially since it assists patients to understand their disease enabling them to become better advocates for their own health.

Our second speaker is Christina Ramirez, the Treasure of Own MG. As a nurse, patient advocacy and providing education for patients and families has been imbedded in Christina's nature and life’s work for many years. After being diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and no longer being able to work in the ICU, she feels she was extraordinarily blessed to find a renewed sense of purpose and fulfillment within the MG community as the persistent theme and need for advocacy and education became so apparent. She strives to improve the quality of life for those struggling with chronic illness, especially those with MG and other rare diseases.
