What are your symptoms for autoimmune hemolytic anemia?
Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a condition where the immune system mistakenly destroys red blood cells, leading to anemia. This can occur in warmer or colder temperatures depending on the type of AIHA a patient has. Recognizing the symptoms of the disease is crucial for early diagnosis and effective management.
Based on data from the NIH's All of Us* program, common comorbid conditions/symptoms include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Based on surveys from our own registry, 82% of patients reported fatigue, followed by 28% reporting dizziness, and 22% reporting lightheadedness, dark urine, rapid heart rate, and more. To add your data to the registry, enroll at www.autoimmuneregistry.org/register.
What are your most difficult symptoms? Please forward and share this email to help us gather more statistics on autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Don't forget to also check out our clinical trial opportunities here.
To support the Autoimmune Registry, please share our information with others who have autoimmune diseases. Donations are also greatly appreciated!
