How can I get involved in a clinical trial?
Clinical trials are essential in advancing medical knowledge and creating new treatments. By evaluating the safety and efficacy of new therapies, clinical trials can help determine which treatments work best and which ones need to be improved, ultimately improving patient outcomes. But how can you get involved and be part of the change?
There are several ways to get involved in a clinical trial. For example, you can start by speaking to your healthcare practitioner, who can determine if you're a good candidate for a trial. Another way to find clinical trials is through the Clinical Trials website, where you can filter the condition/disease, location, and other eligibility requirements. And most importantly, you can sign up for a registry, just like ours. The Autoimmune Registry provides registrants with opportunities to participate in clinical trials and studies, and hosts educational webinars, like the one coming up next Tuesday.
