The Autoimmune Registry hosts a monthly webinar to bring together patient advocacy groups related to autoimmune diseases. This month, we have invited Cara DeAngelis, the Director of Research at the Global Lyme Alliance (GLA), who will discuss the latest research on Lyme disease and autoimmunity. While Lyme disease is an infectious disease, not an autoimmune one, some patients develop chronic symptoms that can resemble autoimmune disorders. Whether some of these symptoms are autoimmune or mimicking autoimmune diseases remains under investigation.
