Jenifer Waldrop

Executive Director of Rare Disease Diversity Coalition (RDDC)

Jenifer Ngo Waldrop, the Executive Director of the Rare Disease Diversity Coalition (RDDC) at the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) joined the organization in October 2022. Under her stewardship, RDDC has spearheaded transformative initiatives across the rare disease treatment continuum, addressing systemic inequities that hinder equitable access to diagnostics, clinical trials, therapeutics, and sustained care. Leveraging data-driven insights and RDDC’s strategic deliverables, she has championed solutions to dismantle barriers to clinical trial participation and treatment access, fostering measurable progress in health equity for underrepresented communities.

Jenifer’s career spans diverse corporate, non-profit, and international sectors. She has designed and implemented equity-centric frameworks for Fortune 500 companies in Asia, Canada, and the United States. Her expertise lies in driving organizational transformation and embedding inclusive practices into complex systems.

She has successfully mobilized diverse community stakeholders in the non-profit arena, leading efforts to reduce health disparities through innovative programs and fundraising initiatives. Jenifer is a skilled coalition builder who has forged partnerships that address systemic gaps and promote sustainable change.

As the Professional Development Director for the National Association of Asian-American Professionals (NAAAP) of Colorado, Jenifer continues influencing the next generation of leaders through mentorship, guiding executive leadership, strategic career advancement, and stakeholder engagement.

Jenifer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College and a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from Villanova University. Her dedication to advancing equity in the rare disease space reflects a commitment to systemic innovation and a vision for a more inclusive healthcare paradigm. She is passionate about inspiring leaders to challenge inequities and driving scientific and policy advancements that elevate marginalized voices in healthcare.
