Introducing our newest Network Member, Living with IgG4-Related Diseases!

IgG4-related diseases (IgG4-RD) are complex fibro-inflammatory disorders affecting any organ and a diagnosis is given based on symptoms and the organ affected. IgG4—an antibody normally found in humans—is elevated and plays a key role in the development of several autoimmune diseases such as myasthenia gravis, pemphigus, autoimmune pancreatitis, and more.

We welcome our newest network member, Living with IgG4-Related Diseases, a global and private Facebook group with over 2,400 members of which the majority are patients, caregivers, and allies. Mahsa and Alex, two of the three admins of the Living with IgG4-Related Diseases Facebook group, also have a podcast called IgG4-RD Life, with the mission to provide a global platform where the voices and experiences of IgG4-RD and other rare disease patients are heard, valued, and shared. Click here to listen to their podcast and follow them on their Instagram account!

Living with IgG4-Related Diseases would like to let the IgG4-RD community know about an event with Dr. Al Freedman, a clinical psychologist, who will share his story and lessons learned as both a rare disease dad and a psychologist. This event will occur on June 27th, at 3 pm ET via Zoom. Click here to learn more and to RSVP.

Autoimmune Registry is also hosting a monthly webinar for patient advocacy groups tomorrow, June 20th at 12 pm ET. Click here to RSVP. Please share our information with others affected by autoimmune diseases to support the Autoimmune Registry. Donations are also greatly appreciated!
